In addition to illuminations using the light of Gifu Japanese umbrellas and Gifu lanterns, both nationally designated traditional crafts, projection mapping inspired by Gifu City's unique traditional culture, including Nagara River cormorant fishing (ukai), its clear waters, and folding-screen paintings, is projected onto features such as the garden rock walls of the Ruins of Oda Nobunaga's Palace Residence, the site of Lord Oda Nobunaga's mansion, creating a fantastical world.
